I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychotherapist with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have earned a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology degree from the University of Victoria. I have also completed a three year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training and a two year Touch Work for Psychotherapists training with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. I continue to learn and support the trauma healing community through my role as an assistant at these trainings. I have trained with the VIHA - USTAT team and completed courses and workshops in Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Addictions, Mental Health Issues, Possibilities Therapy and studied Emotion Focused Therapy.
I am a student of Iyengar yoga and mindfulness practice. Continuing personal and professional development are cornerstones of my counselling practice and enhance what I bring to each session with you.
I am a fully insured member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and a registered member with the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.I believe each person has unique qualities and strengths that provide core resources to support and sustain them through life. I work with the knowledge that we are intrinsically good and the product and expression of Love. My work with you will help you to use your existing resources to engage in the learning, change, and healing you desire.
My fundamental desire is to guide clients from stress and distress to balance and flow.
